Dr. Ahmet Cem Dural 1978 yılında Ankara'da doğdu. İlköğrenimini Özel Tarabya Dost İlkokulu'nda, Ortaöğrenimini Galatasaray Lisesi'nde tamamladı. 1997 yılında başladığı İstanbul Üniversitesi, İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi'ni bitirdikten sonra 2003 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi, İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Genel Cerrahi Anabilim Dalı'nda ihtisas eğitimine başladı. Devlet hizmet yükümlülüğünü 2009-2012 tarihleri arasında Iğdır Devlet Hastanesi'nde tamamladı. 2012 yılında Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi, Genel Cerrahi Kliniği'ne uzman doktor olarak atandı. 2014 yılında Türk Cerrahi Demeği Bursu ile gittiği ABD Ohio eyaleti, Cleveland Clinic. Hastanesi, Endokrin Cerrahi Merkezi'nde Endokrin Cerrahisi Fellow'u olarak çalıştı. 2015 yılında Avrupa Endoskopik Cerrahi Derneği Bursu ile gittiği İsveç Karolinska Üniversite Hastanesi, Endokrin Cerrahi ve Sarkoma Merkezi'nde Endokrin Cerrahi Klinik Fellow'u olarak çalıştı. Yine 2015 yılında, Avrupa Tıp Uzmanları Birliği ve Avrupa Endokrin Cerrahisi Derneği tarafından düzenlenen sınavı başarı ile tamamlayarak Avrupa Endokrin Cerrahi Yeterlilik Belgesi'ni aldı. 2016 yılında 9 ay süre ile Kanada Ottawa Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi, Apoptozis Araştırma Merkezi'nde Translasyonel Tıp alanında çalıştı. 2017 yılında Doçent ünvanı aldı. 2017-2021 yılları arasında Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi, Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Sağlık Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi, Genel Cerrahi Kliniği'nde Eğitim Görevlisi olarak çalıştı. 2021 yılında LIV Hospital Ulus ve Vadistanbul Hastaneleri'nde genel cerrahi uzmanı olarak çalışmaya başladı. 2022 yılında İstinye Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi, Genel Cerrahi Anabilim Dalı'na doçent doktor olarak atandı. Halen birçok ulusal ve uluslararası endokrin cerrahisi ve minimal invaziv. cerrahi derneğinde aktif üyelik görevlerini sürdürmekte olan Dr. Dural, Endokrin Cerrahisi Derneği Yönetim Kurulu Üyeliği ve Demek Genel Sekreterliği görevini yürütmektedir. Tiroid, paratiroid ve böbreküstü bezi hastalıkları ve kanserlerinin cerrahi tedavileri, minimal invaziv cerrahi ve robotik cerrahi uygulamaları özel ilgi alanıdır. Yurt içi ve yurt dışı dergilerde yayınlanmış 80'in üzerinde makalesi vardır.
