Dr. GÜRER, 2007 yılında Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinden mezun olmuştur. 2013 yılında S.B. Dışkapı Yıldırım Beyazıt Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Beyin Cerrahisi Kliniğinde uzmanlığını tamamlamıştır. University of Wisconsin, Department of Neurological Surgery’de Ekim 2012 – Nisan 2013 tarihleri arasında 6 ay süre ile kafa tabanı ve nörovasküler cerrahi alanında “Research Fellow” olarak çalışmıştır. 2016 yılında Doçent olmuştur. 2016 yılından itibaren Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi, İstanbul Fatih Sultan Mehmet SUAM’da sırası ile uzman ve eğitim görevlisi olarak çalışmıştır. Mayıs 2021 tarihinde İstinye Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Nöroşirürji Anabilim Dalı'nda Professör kadrosuna atanmıştır.
