After graduating from Trakya University Faculty of Medicine in 1998, he completed his "Pediatrics Health and Diseases" specialization in the Ministry of Health Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital in 2009, and his "Pediatric Nephrology" sub-specialization in Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Nephrology in 2013. Between 2013 and 2015, he worked at Health Sciences University Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital. During this period, besides actively participating in the training of pediatrics residents, he established the peritoneal dialysis unit in this hospital and mediated the training of a nurse with a peritoneal dialysis certificate. In October 2015, he was an observer at the Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Department of Nephrology in the United States. Then he worked at Koç University Hospital between November 2015 and April 2021. He has been working at Liv Hospital Ulus since May 2021 and Istinye University School of Medicine since July 2021. He received the title of Associate Professor of Pediatric Nephrology in July 2019. He was successful in the "Turkish Society of Pediatric Nephrology Board Exam" and in the "European Society for Paediatric Nephrology Board Exam" held on May 2019 and November 20, 2020. The European Society for Paediatric Nephrology awarded Dr. Taşdemir the FESPN title in July 2021. Since 2013, he is an active member of "International Pediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA), the European Society of Paediatric Nephrology (ESPN), European Renal Association-European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA), Turkish Nephrology Association, Pediatric Nephrology Association, and Turkish Pediatric Institution. Dr. Taşdemir's clinical interests are urinary incontinence, urinary tract infections, urinary system stone diseases, hematuria, proteinuria, glomerular disease, hypertension, congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract (such as stenosis, dilation, vesicoureteral reflux, dysplasia, bladder diseases), cystic kidney diseases, acute or chronic kidney failure, dialysis, and kidney transplantation. He focused his scientific studies on hypertension/cardiovascular diseases, inflammation, nephrotic syndrome, anatomical and functional problems of the urinary system (stones, posterior urethral valve, urinary incontinence, etc.) in patients with chronic kidney disease. It aims to conduct research in the field of kidney transplantation in the future. He participated in many national and international studies.
