Oncu Akgul who completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University Faculty of Science and Letters, Biology Department and her master's degree in Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology. SHe completed her doctorate education in 2018 at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Medical Microbiology Department. SHe worked 6 years in the routine work of the Microbiology Laboratory of Marmara University Medical Faculty Hospital. SHe did her doctorate education on anaerobic bacteria and resistance mechanisms. SHe also took part in a European project of ESCMID. Oncu Akgül was awarded the second prize for another study she did on Antimicrobial Chemotherapy Days. Dr. Oncu Akgül has been working in the academic staff of Istinye University, Department of Microbiology and Clinical Microbiology as of November 2019
