Assistant Prof Dr Hüseyin Murat Mutuş was born in Adana in the year 1968. He graduated from Adana Anadolu High School in 1985, and started his medical education in Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. In 1992 he graduated as a M.D., and after finishing his obligatory service for MOH in 1995, he began his residency training for Pediatric Surgery in İnönü University Faculty of Medicine. In the year 2000 he graduated as a Pediatric Surgeon, and started his career in İstanbul Göztepe SSK Hospital. In 2006 he was trained for Pediatric Urology in Ege University Pediatric Urology Department. In 2007, he passed the examination European Board of Paediatric Surgery, and titled as a Fellow of EBPS. He worked in İstanbul Göztepe Prof Dr Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital Department of Pediatric Surgery as a Consultant Pediatric Surgeon until the year 2021. In 2021 he started working in Istinye University Faculty of Medicine Department of Pediatric Surgery as an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Surgery. He has numerous publications and presentations in many National and International Journals and Congresses, his H index is 9. He has written 4 chapters in medical books. He is a member of Turkish Pediatric Surgery Association, Turkish Pediatric Urology Association and European Pediatric Surgery Associations. He is fluent in English, and mid level in German language. His main interests are Newborn Surgery, Pediatric Thoracic Surgery, Pediatric Abdominal Surgery, Pediatric Genito-Urinary Surgery, Pediatric Oncological Surgery, Pediatric Endocrinological Surgery, Minimal Invasive Surgery and Urodynamic Studies. He is married with 3 children.
