Dr. A. Deniz Akkaya graduated from Istanbul University, Istanbul School of Medicine in 2001 and completed her residency at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital, Dermatovenereology Clinic between 2002-2008. She has also held positions as a visiting observer at the Pediatric Dermatology Department of Texas Children's Hospital - Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2010, and as a visiting scholar at the University of California - San Francisco, Pediatric Dermatology Department in 2014. Previously, Dr. Akkaya worked as an attending dermatologist at the American Hospital of Istanbul between 2011-2018 and Koç University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Dermatology between 2014-2019. Since 2019, she has been an attending dermatologist at Liv Hospital Ulus, and an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Istinye University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. A. Deniz Akkaya is an active member of national and international Pediatric Dermatology Associations. Her clinical and academic interests include vascular anomalies and inflammatory skin diseases of childhood, primarily atopic dermatitis. She has several cited publications in these topics.
