Professor Dr. M. Cicek was born in 1969 in Malatya. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. He completed Anaesthesiology and Reanimation, Istanbul Sisli Etfal Hospital in 1997. He started teaching and working as Asisstant Professor in the department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Inonu University in 2000. He was in the intensive care units at the University of Pittsburgh in tha USA for 6 months as an observer in 2005. He became an Associate Professor, Inonu University in 2007. He became a Professor in 2013 at Istanbul Nisantasi University. He became an intensive care physian in 2014. He worked the University of Cyprus Health and Social Sciences as Rector from 2016 to 2018. He started working a professor in the department of Anesthesioloıgy and Reanimation, Istinye University Faculty of Medicine in 2019. He is the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and head of the department of Anethesiology and Reanimation at Istinye University in Istanbul Turkey.
