Murat Timur Akçam,  Prof.

I graduated from Gülhane Military Medical School in 1992. Afterwards trained in the department of otorhinolaryngology in Ankara Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GATA) and doing the thesis on “sleep quality of the patients with sleep apnea and snoring and the role of upper airway anatomy on the physiopathalogy of obstructive sleep apnea”, became specialist in 1998. After working in Diyarbakır Military Hospital for a while, I became assistant professor in GATA in 2000. Working together with Prof.Dr. Ted Cook and Prof.Dr. Tom Wang, I trained in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery in Oregon Health and Science University for one year between 2003-2004. I became associate profesor in 2006. After working in Tatvan Military Hospital for a while, I became a faculty member in GATA Medical School. In 2015, l retired from army at my own request. Afterwards, I begun to work in Ankara Medicalpark Hospital. In 2018, I became a faculty member in İstinye University Medical School and since that time I have been working in Istinye University Bahçeşehir Liv Hospital. I can speak English in advanced level and Spanish in medium level.
