Farmakoloji ve Klinik Farmakoloji

Prof. Dr. Nedret Altıok, 1979 yılında Kadıköy Anadolu lisesinden, ve 1985 yılında İstanbul Üniversitesi Istanbul Tıp Fakültesinden mezun oldu. 1993 yılında İsveç, Stockholm, Karolinska Enstitüsü Tı Fakültesi’nde Tıbbi Farmakoloji doktorası yaptı. 1993-1997 yılları arasında Fransa, Paris, Pasteur Enstitüsü Bioteknoloji bölümünde Moleküler Nörobilim alanında doktora sonrası çalışmalarda bulundu. 1997-1999 yılları arasında, ABD, Boston, Harvard Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesinde öğretim üyesi olarak çalıştı. 2000 yılında Türkiye’ye dönerek bazı vakıf üniversiteleri Tıp Fakültelerinde, Tıbbi Farmakoloji anabilim dalı kurucu başkanlığı, Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü kurucu müdürlüğü gibi görevlerde bulundu. Bu süreçte, Tıp fakültesi müfredatlarını hazırladı ve kurduğu TUBITAK destekli araştırma laboratuarlarında Moleküler Nörofarmakoloji ve Moleküler Kanser alanlarında araştırma projeleri yürüttü. 24 uluslararası makalesi ve bunlara 1245 atıf (H-index=16) bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca, birçok uluslararası bilimsel dergi hakemliği, TUBİTAK Danısman/Panelistlik, ve Avrupa Komisyonu 6. Çerçeve, ve Horizon 2020 programlarında bağımsız hakemlikler yaptı.

Araştırma Alanları: Kanser ve Nörodejeneratif hastalıkların moleküler analizi ve tanı/tedavi amaçlı moleküler yaklaşımlar geliştirmek.
