Talar Vartanoğlu Aktokmakyan,  Faculty Member, PhD

She was born in 1989 in Istanbul. She graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Medicine (2007-2013). She worked as a physician at Van Muradiye State Hospital (2013-2014). She received her General Surgery specialization from Istanbul Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital (2014-2019). She was successful in the exams determined by the Turkish Surgical Proficiency Board and received the Turkish Surgical Proficiency Certificate (21.12.2019). She worked as a General Surgeon at Kars Sarıkamış State Hospital (2019-2020). She worked as a general surgeon at the Istanbul Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital (2020-2021). In 2014, she completed the "Difficult Wound Management and Applied Current Approaches in Surgery" course organized by the Turkish Surgery Association and received a certificate. In 2015, she completed the Experimental Animal Use Certificate Training Course and received an Experimental Animal Use Certificate. In 2015, she completed the Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery Course held by the Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery Association and received her certificate. In 2016, she joined the Nutrition Academy and received her certificate. In 2016, she completed the "Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgery in Fresh Frozen Cadaver Models" training conducted by Bahcesehir University, Faculty of Medicine, and received her certificate. In 2016, she attended the "Level III Reconstructive Breast Cancer Surgery Workshop" at Marmara University, Faculty of Medicine, and received a certificate of success. In 2017, she successfully completed the "Advanced Breast Cancer: Biology, Management and Outcomes" course organized by the Mediterranian University of Mastology and received her certificate. She successfully completed the "Cadaver Course in Breast-Endocrine Surgery" organized by the Turkish Surgery Association in 2018. In 2018, she completed the "Hands-on course on suturing and stapling techniques post-graduate" course organized by the International Federation For The Surgery Of Obesity And Metabolic Disorders in Dubai and received her certificate. She attended the International Hernia School in 2018 and received the "Hernia School" certificate. In 2019, she attended the "Gastric Bypass and beyond basic training" course held by the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Association and received her certificate. She received her certificate by participating in the "Minimally Invasive Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery" course organized by the Endoscopic Laparoscopic Surgery Association in 2021. She completed the "Robotic Bariatric, and Metabolic Surgery" course held by the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Association in 2021 and received her certificate. Between 2016-2018, she worked as the Secretary of the Assistant Commission of the Turkish Surgical Association. She has more than 40 articles published in international and national journals.
